Hi:
I have a 1985 Montauk with this backing plate holding the front rails through the gunnel (instead of just screwing into the fiberglass). I'm not sure if this is an original part or if it was added aftermarket. Anyways, I want to get another just like it and can't find it anywhere. It is 1&3/8" between centers and it looks like it's made of Aluminum. What is this called and where can I get it.

Thanks,
Tim

Hi Joe:
You're amazing! Thanks,
I will be purchasing it from their site.

I guess it's called a Stanchion.

Consider this closed.
Thanks again.
Tim

Stanchion Backing Plate I believe as it holds the stanchion on through the hull as opposed to the other stanchions that are just screwed into the side of the hull.
