My older 15 Center Console never had the original windshield when I purchased it. Looking to buy a replacement. Could anyone with this model provide me with the exact measurements of the windshield itself? I would like to compare it to the actual measurements of the console.

I have found one dealer for such, UPD Plastics. Any other options as to replacement windshields or an older parts inventory? Ebay is hit or miss.

Original part number is 12266000.

Thanks,
Greg

You can make it yourself. I had some polycarbonate 1/4" left from replacing windows in my forklift. Since I had made my console I thought for fun I would try to do the shield. I cut it with a power saw while the plastic wrap was still on both sides, and then marked where I wanted to bend it. Laid it on a wood work table with the edge of the table at the bend point and heated the line with a heat gun for maybe a minute or so. You can feel it getting ready to bend by keeping pressure downward. When it bends keep the heat on it for the few seconds it takes to get your proper angle. Then do the other side. I have buoght two shields for different boats and mine looks like they did. From the plastics place buy the right type of drill bit for drilling mounting holes, it is slightly different from a regular bit and will prevent cracking. Hardest part was finding the rubber "wellnuts" and at this time I have improvised those with rubber bushings made for protecting wires run thru holes in automotive applications.
If you can get a couple scrap pieces of the plastic you can easily practice before you do the shield.

Greg, UDP is a good source. Many have bought from there and have been happy. I am one who loves DYI projects but, for the cost of their windshields I would recommend skipping the hassle and time of making your own and just have a brand new finished one delivered to your door ready to install.

The color I would recommend to match OEM is the Bronze 2412.

FYI: The windshield for the Sport 15 Center Console is the same as for the Montauk and Outrage standard console of the same vintage.

mtown.
Good thought, but I'd wind up spending more on plexiglass that I F'ed up trying to make it right. :-)

Thanks guys.
