Are you asking about brand and size of tank(s) and/or batteries?

Location for mounting both?

It would be helpful for you to provide your plans for how the boat is to be used; activities, water type, passenger count. There is advice for single operation versus fishing versus family outings.

What engine horsepower and type: 2 stroke, 2 stroke DI or 4 stroke?

I would think you should go with one of the Moeller "wide and low"
12 gallon tanks specifically designed to fit under the Whaler Sport series thwart/pilot seats. Like this, but only 6" high instead of the 8"/16 gallon capacity of this one. The floor plan is the same for all 3 models they make. Install so that the fuel fill and additional tank width is behand the seat so it can be filled without moving it, and for heel space when driving.

On those old 13's, I think the battery is supposed to be placed in center postion in front of the splashwell dam. I think there is wood in the floor for the strap cleats. Set the box on a piece of DriDeck cut to size to avoid floor abrasion. You might want to set the fuel tank on driDeck also.

Moeller no longer lists the 12 gallon tank, they currently make a 14 gallon tank that will fit under a standard thwart seat. If you raise the seat to the top of the side rails, you can use the 15 gallon version.

Phil is correct, we need some more info to help you out with some placement and ideas, As far as a fuel tank goes I a firm believe in a custom alum one. No other fuel tank compares period.
