I'm installing a new interior in my 1967 13'. I found the original 4-spoke white aluminum wheel but need the cap nut that secures the wheel to the column. I think it was bronze or may have been stainless. Looked on eBay, ContinuousWave, Boston Whaler site and most others. Anyone out there have one they'd be willing to part with?

Is it special? Mine on my Outrage is a generic stainless self locking nut, that could be purchased locally at any hardware supply place, like home depot.

It is a special nut. The old 13' steering wheel was secured by a large, single cap nut that was not covered by a plastic hub/insert that you find nowadays. Thanks, stevebaz, for the sizing. Maybe I can find one at a hardware store.

Thanks, Joe. It is also known as an acorn nut. That was helpful but I still can't find an 11/16 anywhere.

This place has 11/16 stainless jam nuts, half the height of a regular nut, but should be suitable for that low stress application.
