Our 1998 Conquest helm seats have gone missing (not sure if misplaced by our local boatyard or stolen), but the short base is still intact.
So I'm trying to figure out what replacement would fit the original base (hoping to avoid replacing the base too). Does anyone know what the original seats were, and what could be used as a replacement?
Here's a picture for reference: [url]http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3352/3495741024_72666891a8_b.jpg

EDIT:
Changed the abbreviated year of 98 to the full digit year of 1998.
Please use the full 4 digit year.

There aren't that many seat manufactures that Boston Whaler used.
Springfield
Wise
Pompanette
?
Take a look at these Springfield seats

Not quite the same as yours so look at the other manufacturers sites.
What do your pedestals say? I can't quite read the name.

This has taken an unfortunate twist. We have determined that the seats went missing while the boat was sitting at the boatyard between the haul out and shrink wrapping last season. I have asked them to cover our insurance deductible (couple hundred) and installation of new seats. They said no, but will help to source new parts at their cost rate. This just doesn't seem right. Am I wrong? Anyone have a similar situation?

Mike,
I would turn it over to my insurance company and have them deal with the boatyard.

Thanks Joe - that is what I've done, but I wasn't sure if I was out of bounds to look for coverage on the deductible.

This might be your seat on eBay:

While your waiting for the insurance, you might send Whaler customer support and email or phone call to see if they know who supplied the original seats. That way you will be one step ahead of getting them replaced.

Mike
Sorry to hear your news.
I would have a "quiet word" with the Service Manager in their office. I would consider a different yard if possible.
