Need a gasket for the bilge hatch (just forward of the OB's). Checked with my local BW dealer and they could only source the whole hatch for $97. No markings on the hatch as to the manufacturer.

I would check a full service marine chandlery (not West Marine) and automotive supply store (NAPA, Pep Boys, etc.) for the gasket material.

Measure the width, height and length. If a shape, sketch the profile and bring this information with you. Having a sample of the old gasket is even better.

I am sure you can find material that is the correct dimensions for
a lot less than a complete hatch.

Look at the other hatches. Probably the same material/size.

By looking at the gas tank access hatch I was able to determine that the manufacturer was Viking Marine; will call them Monday regarding the gasket. If it's not available I've seen the whole Hatch on the Net for $70. I hate to do it but that's probably the road I'll take.

Spoke with Viking Marine today and the gasket is in the mail. Very nice people.
