I am seeking actual dimensional data on the gunnel side grab rail kit. Can anyone provide dimensions for custom fabrication? The rail I am seeking is about as long as the boston whaler logo on the rear corner of the boat and approximately 6-7 inches tall. These are estimates and I need detailed dimensions. Thanks.

Model and year of make would be a reasonable part of your question.
Did your boat ever had such rails?

See the new "Grab Rail Installation Instructions" in the downloads section.

According to this Instruction sheet, this is for 18' to 25' models.

As far as we know the length is 28 inches from center of fitting to center of fitting.
This distance of course may vary slightly...

I never measured the height but they are not as tall as the Side Rails....
Side Rails are 6 1/2 inches tall so the Grab Rails are less than that.
EDIT: My Side Rails are 6 1/2 inches to the bottom of the rail and 7 1/2 inches to the top of the rail approximately.

Hopefully someone will measure theirs and give us the length and height...

NOTE: Boston Whaler decals are 28 inches long for many Classic models..

Yea, I should have noted the model. I am working on a 1984 Outrage 18. My boat did not have the optional gunnel grab rails ...... thus my dimensional characteristic search in pursuit of having the grab rails reproduced. Based on what I have researched thus far, 28" in length relatively accurate based on length comparisons in from vintage whaler literature. I am still seek a good height dimension.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
