I'm in the process of restoring my 17 Outrage and would like input on coolers for the front of the CC. I need a new one and I can put anything there as long as it fits. I do not have the original cooler chocks mounted yet so I could even go with a different mounting system such as Yeti's. I will need one that has a seat cushion. So what cooler do you prefer and why?
Thanks,
Bob.

The cooler cushions on my 1991 are white with brown piping. The cooler cushions offered by Igloo et. al. are too white, thin (not comfortable) and cheaply made.
In my Outrage album, there is a good photo of my cooler and cushions.

The Igloo Marine cooler fits well. They also sell a hold down bracket that lets you use bungies to mount on the cooler cleats. A photo of the cleats is in the Parts Photo Gallery.
I would recommend Halls Nautical for the OEM cushions. I redid my Montauk cooler and rod holder cushions. Pricey but quality.
You should call them to see if they make the cushion for the front of the console.
My boat is in my driveway and accessible so let me know if you need more information.
Nice restoration!

Thanks guys,
The cooler that came with my boat is in rough shape. It looks as though I'll go with the Igloo 72qt. I just don't think I can justify the cost of something like a Yeti. Does Igloo sell the bungee hold downs for the cooler sides or do I have to get them from Whaler? One of mine is broken. Phil, I lucked out Halls makes the console back rest for the Outrage 17. My cushions (RPS and stern seats) were replaced by the previous owner in Parchment with brown piping from Halls so thats the color combo I'll go with.
Thanks,
Bob.
