We have recently added a new Photo Section called Whaler Model/Year Index.
The link is on the left sidebar under the "Photo Galleries" section, Whaler Model/Year Index.
http://www.whalercentral.com/userphot...allery.php
This section is to illustrate all the different models along with general information about the individual models. Length, Draft, Beam, etc...
If you have one nice photo that you would like to post, please use the "Submit Photo" feature located under the "Submit Content" link on the left sidebar or this link.
Submit Photo
For the "Whaler Model/Year Index" section, we prefer to use a photo that includes the entire boat which takes up the entire frame of the photo. In our opinion, the best photo is taken at approximately a
45ยบ angle from the rear and from slightly above the boat.
Here is an example of the type of photos we are looking for.
Chips's Outrage 18'
Kurt's Outrage 22' WD
Joe's Outrage 18'
960x720 is the best size to use when submitting a photo.
http://www.whalercentral.com/images/p...age_jk.jpg
So, pick the best photo of your boat and follow the guidelines on the 'Submit Photo' page....
Only one photo per member, per boat.... Please.....
Max Size: 960x720
Min Size: 640x480
Don't forget to tell us what year, length, and model of your submitted photo.
Looking forward to seeing all the different models.

Joe, are pictures of modified Whalers OK? I just recently built a homemade adjustable jackplate for my 13 footer. I can post those (how to) pictures. I was just waiting to test it on the boat, before I posted anything.

Rich,
We are looking for photos of the entire Whaler.
It doesn't matter if the Whaler has a bracket or not as we won't necessarily be looking at the bracket as we want to look at that particular model of Whaler.
Custom work etc., is best put in your own personal page so people can see exactly what a person has done along with a description of how they accomplished this.

Joe, I noticed that you had no early 70's 19 Outrages in there. Is it ok to post a photo of my boat in its current condition - read not nice. I was hesitant as it didnt represent what I consider a nice example.

Joe- you are welcome to use any of the pictures of my 1985 15 foot center console. I tried to download, but am not able to shrink the photos for some reason! Here is a link to pics of the "Minitauk" prior to her sale in April-k

I submitted a photo, but it prompts me to choose an album (ie the first choice is 13' hull repair). Hope you got it.

whalersal,
Yes we received it.
At this time we haven't gotten to adding some of the newer model albums and the Conquest is one of them.
All photos should be submitted to the default folder that pops up which is "Submit your photos here"
album.
We will be adding these new model album when time permits.
Thanks for submitting your photo.

There are a lot of programs besides photoshop that will reduce the size of the photo.
Take a look at our Personal Page Tutorial and Personal Page Making 101 to see a couple of these programs.
