Any suggestions , i want to replace the steering cable on my late 72/73 16.5 whaler with a 1984 yamaha 90 hp motor, as to where to buy and difficulty in my instaling. I installed one on my previous 1960's 13 whaler. thanks

I should add this is a one cable steering , and not with pulleys

They're very easy to replace as you already are aware of from doing it on your 13'. I'm not clear as to what you're asking. Do you want to convert your steering from a pulley type steering to a cable system??
I installed a new teleflex cable and helm on our larger boat last fall, very simple to do.
I used the Teleflex steering cable on my boats. Here's a website that seems to have good prices on their items.
