I recently bought a Sea Lion S 17-1700 for my 1985 Montauk. This is a bunk trailer with a single roller at the bow. It was originally adjusted to fit although I wasn't happy with the height because I have to tilt my 90 Yamaha slightly or the skeg will touch the ground. I plan to raise the bunk brackets as high as I can to gain a few inches for the skeg. However, the port bunk shifted so that needs attention, too, but in the process should the bunks be flat or is there a recommended angle to best support the hull?. Each carpeted bunk is 5 3/4 " wide. Also, is there a standard measurement where that bunk needs to be to properly support the hull? Thanks for any suggestions. I don't trailer other than to go to and from the water once a season so I appreciate any input.
