OMC/BRP Engine Controls

I have been gathering information about the OMC/Bombardier Engine Controls that have been manufactured throughout the years.
Here are some photos of the different series of Engine Controls manufactured by OMC and now Bombardier.

Bombardier/OMC Engine Controls

1995 and older

This series was manufactured up to 1995
There were two different styles of handle grips that I know of for this series.
You can see the first style of grip in the middle photo on the top row.
I have had both style of grips and preferred the later style as shown in the bottom row.

1996 and newer

This series was manufactured from 1996 to 2006
I do not have the full catalog on these controls.
If anyone can send me a scan from the catalog, I will add it here.
This series was more flexible for use on other brands of outboards.
This series had several different push/pull cable combinations so different configurations could
be used to control the different brand of outboard motors.

2007 and newer

This series is brand new for 2007
These are the part numbers for the different Binnacle mount controls.
5006182 - Single Lever Binnacle Control without key switch
5006186 - Single Lever Binnacle Control with built-in Key Switch and Safety Lanyard
5006184 - Dual lever Binnacle Control
