Review of the new Conquest 285
Boating NewsBoston Whaler’s 285 Conquest has been completely redesigned. The boat’s running bottom, sporting 19 degrees of transom deadrise, carries halfway forward, where it makes a quick transition with the chines, rising to present a sharp entry for parting steep seas. Bottom strakes and wide chines provide lift and dampen spray. Twin 250-hp Verado outboards make for a remarkably quiet ride, especially at cruising speeds from the 20s to the low 30s.
