Unearthed stencil, 1968 Nauset 16 (bottom paint compatibility)

Recently unearthed the stencil on my 1968 Nauset 16. A bit of history recovered from white and blue paint jobs through time. Plenty of questions have been answered for me here;
This time I have two, one in regards to bottom paint and the other, railings.
The bottom paint last used on the boat was the West Marine CPP (Ablative). I want a good bottom paint that is ad hearable to this product. Going to sand a lot but am not going to chem., strip the bottom. I've been reading a lot about paint lately but haven't tried any yet. First boat outside of an aluminum. Does anyone have any good suggestions. This boat is going to be dropped mostly, but could be in the water up to 3 weeks at most. I live right near the water so I can pull it easily. We live on the southern part of the Chesapeake bay with medium to high salinity, and lots of grass.
Second is about Side rails. CMI Marine purchased the rail bending jigs for this boat (and probably others). Also "Specialty Marine" carries the same OEM rails. Does anyone know if there is any difference in the product.
Any advice is great.

38975. I meant for it to say 17ft. I tried 16ft 7" but I guess it didn't pick that up.

Bottom coat and paint has been applied. Lots of beer and countless HOURS of sanding. This was after removing all of the barnacles. Managed to get 4 coats out of the gallon of Petit barrier coat. Went with Petit Neptune red for the bottom paint. Good hard bottom paint. Able to be trailered well. No regrets.
I missed about 3 quarter sized spots on the keel when I was de-waxing.
Not to worried about it since I am launching her, but anyway to get those patched up easy? I know I sanded the wax in by accident.

The 17' models were not made until 1976
So what you have is a 1968 Nauset 16

Are you going to leave the boat in the water each season or are you trailering? You are painting the whole boat I saw in another thread and therefore if trailering I would NOT apply bottom paint and just the Awlgrip, Jamestown, or Interlux topcoats

If you fire off an email with the stencil number to Whaler Support they can fill you in on some of the history. I did that with my 1975 Revenge and they confirmed the HIN and provided me with where it was built, when it was picked up from the factory and who picked it up. Kind of interesting to have its "birthing' info.

Yeah i did and they gave me great information on her. June 25th 1968 she was born. The advertisement for this boat was hilarious. The driver was backwards with his back to the bow, sitting on top of the center console and driving. I believe he was a surfer. The add was probably used for other boats as well.
If I tried this on a rough day where I live, I would fly off and get sucked into the motor before my lanyard could safely shut the motor off. But, then again lawn darts existed..........
