1996 Outrage 19 III

I'm considering repowering my rig. The tag states 225HP max, but if I go with any of the 4 strokes, weight goes up about 100 lbs more than my current 1997 225 EFI Mercury. Is weight an issue?

Depends. What if anything do you have stored in the rear, under seats.

While the transom can handle it, the question is the trim of the boat. To simulate the new weight, add the 100 lbs to the spashwell in the form of bags of sand, water or a person.

With the added weight observe through hull drains and static trim with a full fuel load and two people standing in the back of the deck.
