Am looking at this 1989 Boston Whaler Mischief with a 90 hp Johnson. Owner has been ill, boat not running for over a year. It's color is a white top and a red hull underneath the rub rail. I've looked at dozens of pictures online and only see ones that are all red or all white.
I'm trying to stay as original as possible - anyone out there know about this boat? Thanks in advance! Tom
Call Boston Whaler customer support give them the Hull# and ask what color was when shipped. I believe there was a very low number (<200) made of these so it shouldn't be to hard to find out from Boston Whaler Customer support.
Tbrusini,
Clumsy Cleat is correct as I believe the exact number is around 190 mischiefs ever made. They were available as you say in red, blue or white, with white being the rarest. My buddy has a white one I helped him restore and there is a picture of it on my personal page. I do not believe the 2 tone red and white you speak of is original but you should check with B.W as Clumsy Cleat also suggests. Also, I belive max H.P for that hull which is a 15 foot sport hull with a mischief topside fiberglass structure added is 70 H.P so the 90 H.P must be a repower above the capacity plates max H.P rating.
