Probably from the dock on my Vantage 230. I have a linear scratch with loss of white hull color and a light grey color showing thru after washing, its above the water line....can anyone help me determine the depth of injury and what i need to do?

I am guessing I can still run the boat til the end of the season, then repair the gelcoat when she is on the trailer. Or do I need to do the repair immediately?

Thanks

How perfect can you keep a boat if you use it? It's a Whaler. Now you don't have to worry about the next gouge. Get it fixed off season so it looks nice next season, and go boating.

Know the saying when getting to a dock," your speed should be as fast as you want to hit the dock", therefore slow should keep gouging scratches away.

That said, there are only two types of captains - those who have dinged a boat while docking, and liars.

That's why you should always get a boat the color of scratched gelcoat - Desert Tan is a good example.
