Engine tilt release screw (1995 Johnson Oceanruner / 1987 Outrage 18)

Member Posts: 21 Comments: 0 Joined: 09/11/13	This weekend I had to use the manual tilt release screw to lower my engine. (1995 Johnson Oceanpro) I had a very hard time turning the screw (screwdrive+vice grips) I stripped it slightly and I would like to replace the screw with a new one. Does anyone have any experience replacing the screw. Can I just take it out without draining the fluid? Thanks srej
