Mercury 90 on 2006 Montauk 170 - EFI or carbs?

I am considering a used 2006 Montauk 170 with the stock Mercury 90 HP 4 stroke factory motor.
Is this an EFI motor?
Anything else I may need to know about this motor?
BTW, I am a new member, and would post a more formal intro once I effectively get a boat...!!

I am not positive, but there is a good chance it's an EFI. If you could post a link to a photo(s) of the engine, we might be able to tell by appearance.

I recall the 2002-04 model year had the Mercury 90 FourStroke with carbs. The carb jets were prone to clogging and required diligent cleaning.
Pull the cover and look for the injectors and fuel rail.
If it is not EFI, I would find another candidate that is.

It is EFI per the cowl graphics.

I wonder what I can find with the serial numer, besides proper spare parts?

Good the hear b 'dog!
Brand-new boater here, some minimal, general auto/motorcycle motor experience.
Where could I find a good reference to maintain this motor properly?
Only thing I have seen the read-only online service manual (from boats dot com (?))
I would only be taking it to the dealer's shop, unless it is really mushed up.
Like they say with motorcycles, if you need the dealer that much, might as well take up another hobby!
Boat is still at the paperwork stage...
Gotta get spouse to watch some launch and retrieve videos on YouTube..!

2006 was the last year Mercury bought the 75-115 4-stroke EFI engine powerheads from Yamaha. Whaler people often call them "YamaMercs". So Yamaha is also a source for any of the engine components and service. I believe Yamaha is still making the same engine today for their line of 75-115 engines. Everything above the mid section, except for the cowl, is Yamaha. The mid-section and below are all Mercury.

I think the main thing to look for with regard to compression is that all the values are pretty similar, with no more than 10% difference.

The shop did comp.
Test came back at 235 -240
Inquired at shop as I thought these were way high from what I read ( approx 150 psi max)
Above (high) test numbers confirmed as good range by shop guy.
What is one to think...?
