Hi, i just bought a 1985 Boston whaler 18 and I want to put a cabin on it. Does anyone have any suggestions or know of any place or person where I can get a prefabricated cabin?

Possibly Pacific Pilothouse, they are in California.

I just viewed it and the Pacific Pilothouse website is worth the look. Nice looking product and interesting read about their history. They started with a Whaler.

Suggest you thumb through this guy's photo album. Lots of very cool ideas here, and all DIY:

Bill has been a member here and "there" for many years.
I recall he does his own design/build and has completed several projects.

I wonder how the weight stacks up against Pacific Pilothouse. Both fabricators do beautiful work.

There is a "18 ft Boston Whaler w/enclosure" in the Seattle Craigslist that has a very interesting add on cabin. May give some ideas.

In the past, when I see a custom detail I like on a boat, I contact the seller saying "I am not an active buyer but.....who built....." I have gotten some very good info that way. That New Haven Craigslist ad is quite a bargain if that is the direction you are heading.
