So I'm going to have the E-TEC 90 mounted on my 1984 Montauk 17. I've seen suggestions to mount the motor three holes up but could find no prop suggestion with that configuration. I've seen a suggestion to mount it two holes up and using the Stiletto 13 1/4 x 15 prop. Not sure of the dates on those posts. Anyone have this engine/hull combination can make a suggestion as to current thinking on mounting height and propeller?

I winter in Ft. Myers and summer in St. Joseph, Michigan. It’s now about 12 years since I’ve joined this group. I gave my 1972 whaler to my daughter and sold the 17’. Bought an O’Day 28 sailboat and sailed on Lake Michigan. Yesterday I bought a 2005 130 Sport.
