Installed a "JVC Arsenal" radio with 2 speakers. Awesome sound now with the MP3, Bluetooth, etc. It's great to do some hands free calling, listen to Pandora or what ever else I have on my smartphone even navigation instructions come thru loud and clear.
You have to be a contortionist to get the wiring clean inside the console but now that it is done it was well worth it.
I hope I'll learn the 100's of features on the radio in a couple of weeks or (I'll ask the kids)

Started re-coring the deck fish box lids in my 1999 18' Outrage. Seems no caulking arround the hinges and water got to the plywood core,didn't rot just very wet.What fun to remove the plywood without damaging the outer shell...

If you work on your motor does that count? I changed the engine oil, gear oil, and spark plugs.

Pulled the RPS Z-legs, cleaned them thoroughly, sanded them down, cleaned them again and sealed them with the first coat of urethane. They already look 90 percent better than they did a couple of hours ago...

Decarbed my engine. I expected more stuff to come out but it must not have that much carbon buildup in it as I thought. I'm letting it soak overnight and will see what comes out tomorrow.

Bit the bullet and drilled into the bottom to see how much water was in the hull. Really a matter of curiosity, and my suspicions were confirmed. What do you know, there is water in my hull, but it only drips out, not gushing out. It has dripped for over a day, but overall, I am happy it didn't gush. I plan on filling the hole first with a little gorilla glue to absorb the remaining moisture followed by a fiberglass driveway marker and then two part epoxy. It will never be seen under the bottom paint.

I visited my Outrage today at the Whaler hospital. I took several photos of it completely stripped of motor, console, T-Top, and rigging...it was a solemn occasion indeed. Currently, there is a 27 WA WD in the bay getting bottom work from some damage done to it when it was left in a sling that was too small for too long, but that Whaler oughta be out of my way by next week, then we flip the Outrage and start removing the bottom paint and getting all the surfaces prepped for new gelcoat. The inside decks will be next.

I got the new teak cooler cleats and 94 qt cooler at the shop, also got the new teak replacement rod holders today. All the teak in the console has been removed, and it appears to be in a bit worse condition than I thought it was going to be in. Most of the teak is splitting, and the dowels used to hold the frames together are disintegrated. I am looking for new teak now...sure hope I can find it premade, if not, I will have to use the old as patterns for new fabrication.

Boy, that 27 WA WD sure is a BIG boat...I gotta quit thinkin' about that thing...I need to get this Outrage complete so I can get back on the water! Yeah, you know your a Whaler addict when you see a WD in need of a lot of work and you ask the glass guy if he could give your number to the owner in case he wants to sell itSmile

I charged the batteries in case of a spontaneous launch! It was almost 90 degrees in Florida the last two days.

Put all the wood back in, after a good cleaning, checked and prepped the motor and cranked her up and now she's ready

I scored a Morse MT-2 Control and a complete OEM OMC wiring harness from this site that will be installed this week in my Newport 17. Both are currently functional but the binnacle is rather pitted and the safety start lockout is intermittent. Boat is not wrapped but is uncovered in the barn while the bottom paint is removed and replaced with gelcoat. Will be polishing the gel coat I installed last Fall right after I strip the last of the bottom paint next week! Motivated even if it's sleeting today!

Finally brought her out from the back yard and into the driveway. Removed shrink wrap, perform general inspection, re-attached fuel line to motor. Bought qt. of botton paint (Hydrocoat) and a new 3-step boarding ladder.
