How do I setup my Personal Page?
The Personal Pages are for members that want to share photos of their Boston Whaler boats or Whaler related activities with other members. Only photos uploaded to WhalerCentral can be used.
Personal Pages are not to be used as a classified section with items For Sale.
Use the Classified section in the discussion forums to list your items for sale.
Anything inside personal pages that read "For Sale", that text will be removed.
The Personal Pages are fairly simple to use. Insert the text you want. Make it bold, italic, etc., via the buttons on the right of the screen.
To insert a photo, click on Images Upload link at the top of the window and choose the photo you want to upload.
The photo must be in .jpg format and under 200kb in size. The preferred pixel size is 640x480, no larger please.
Once uploaded, click on the "Insert" Private Photo button on the right. This will add the necessary brackets to the photo link so it will show up properly.
All photos should have a space (line break) between them so they all don't run together.
Add the title of your page. Please include the year and model of your Whaler. This will help everyone determine what they are looking at.
Preview your work by hitting the Preview button at the bottom or the View link at the top of the page.
There is a limit to 30 photos per member.
You can change these photos anytime you choose.
Important: The photos must be named with .jpg in lowercase. They will not upload if you use uppercase .JPG
Do not use the apostrophe ', parenthesis ( ), or any other characters in the name of the photo or any spaces.
PLEASE do NOT link to outside photo hosting services like Photo Bucket or Image Shack, etc..
All Photos MUST be uploaded to your personal page space at WhalerCentral. No exceptions.
Use the Image Upload link at the top of the edit personal page to upload your photos.
ALL Personal Pages MUST contain photos uploaded to your personal page space at WhalerCentral.
Any Personal Page not containing photos that have been uploaded to your personal page space at WhalerCentral will have to be removed.
